Uttam Prakash Agarwal, chartered accountant and President, ICAI

Journey To The Top: Originally from Rajasthan, Uttam's vision and zeal to outdo himself brought him to Mumbai where he studied and completed the CA programme.

He turned CA in 1988, and today, has gained a wealth of experience in his chosen profession. In 2009 he was elected president of ICAI.

Study Strategy: “I used to clear one paper at a time, rather than answering all papers, together,”  he shares.

Mantra for success: A humble person by nature, Uttam’s motto is hard work and humility, combined with a dedicated approach towards his goal.

He strongly believes that to achieve something in life, you have to pursue it relentlessly.
